Necessary Information Technologies, LLC, doing business as NECIT and NecessaryIT ("NECIT," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal information through necessaryit.com and any related pages, forms, or online services where this policy is posted (collectively, the "Site").
By using the Site or submitting information through the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy. Use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Use, which incorporate this Privacy Policy by reference.

NECIT is a veteran-owned firm providing cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and executive advisory services. For purposes of applicable privacy laws, NECIT is the controller of personal information collected through the Site.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to personal information collected through the Site and related communications, including inquiries submitted through our contact form, email, telephone, text message, and scheduling tools.
This policy does not govern information we access, host, or process while delivering services to clients. Client data, including system data, security findings, logs, and regulated information such as protected health information, is governed by the confidentiality, data protection, and security terms of the applicable master services agreement, statement of work, nondisclosure agreement, or business associate agreement. Where we process personal information on behalf of a client, we act as a processor or service provider, and the client's privacy notice governs that information.
3. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide
Depending on how you interact with the Site, we may collect:
- Identifiers and contact information: name, email address, and telephone or mobile number
- Professional information: organization name, job title, and industry
- Inquiry details: information you choose to share about your priorities, environment, timing, or needs
- Communications: messages sent through forms, email, telephone, text message, or scheduling tools, and records of those communications
- Consent records: the date, time, and method by which you provided consent to receive text messages or other communications
- Preferences: communication and marketing preferences
Providing optional information, including a mobile phone number, is voluntary unless clearly stated otherwise. Please do not submit passwords, credentials, security vulnerability details, protected health information, or other sensitive personal information through the Site's contact form. If sensitive information is needed during an engagement, we will arrange a secure method of transfer.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate location derived from the IP address
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, links clicked, and referring URLs
- Date, time, and duration of visits
- Browser privacy signals, such as Global Privacy Control
This information is collected through cookies, server and security logs, and similar technologies.

- Scheduling, email, and communications platforms
- Professional networking platforms, referral partners, and publicly available business sources
4. How We Use Information

- Communicate about engagements, proposals, scheduling, and service updates, including by text message where you have consented
- Send relevant insights or updates where permitted, with the ability to opt out at any time

We do not use personal information collected through the Site for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Mobile Information and Text Messaging (SMS)
A. Consent
Our contact form includes an optional mobile phone number field accompanied by a text messaging disclosure. If you provide a mobile phone number and submit the form in accordance with that disclosure, you expressly consent to receive text messages from Necessary Information Technologies, LLC related to the purpose of your submission, such as responding to your inquiry, scheduling conversations, and service-related communications.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.
- Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and engagement.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- If you do not provide a mobile phone number, you have not consented to receive text messages.
B. Limits on Consent
Text messaging consent applies only to Necessary Information Technologies, LLC, including its NECIT and NecessaryIT names, and cannot be transferred, sold, assigned, or reused by any third party.
C. No Sharing of Mobile Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile information may be disclosed only to service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.
D. Opting Out and Help
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final message confirming the opt-out. For assistance, reply HELP or email privacy@necessaryit.com. Opting out of text messages does not affect other communications, such as email. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Your Choices
- Email: unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message
- Cookies: manage through your browser or device settings
- Privacy signals: enable Global Privacy Control in a supporting browser or extension
- Information updates: contact privacy@necessaryit.com to update or correct information you have provided
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain access to that information
- Correction: correct inaccurate personal information
- Deletion: delete personal information you provided or that we obtained about you
- Portability: obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable and readily usable format
- Opt out: opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects
- Non-discrimination: exercise these rights without being denied services or charged different prices
Texas Residents
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act provides Texas residents with the rights listed above. We do not sell personal data, including sensitive personal data, and we do not process sensitive personal data without consent.
California Residents
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies, California residents may have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the sources, the business purposes, and the categories of recipients; to delete and correct personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories described in Section 3 for the purposes in Section 4 and disclosed them to the categories of recipients in Section 5 for business purposes. We have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Residents of Other States
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights, which we will honor as required by applicable law.
How to Submit a Request
Email privacy@necessaryit.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or call (469) 246-4800. Please describe your request and the state in which you reside. We will verify your identity by matching information you provide against information we hold, and we may request additional information when necessary. We will respond within 45 days, or notify you if we need up to an additional 45 days as permitted by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf where permitted by law, subject to verification of the agent's authority and your identity.
Appeals
If we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@necessaryit.com with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal." We will respond to an appeal within 60 days and explain the reasons for our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Attorney General of your state. Texas residents may submit a complaint to the Office of the Texas Attorney General at www.texasattorneygeneral.gov.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, providing services, maintaining business and financial records, documenting consent, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Inquiries that do not result in an engagement are generally deleted or de-identified within 24 months of our last communication, unless a longer period is required by law. Text messaging consent and opt-out records are retained for at least the period required to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.
11. How We Protect Information
As a cybersecurity firm, we apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These safeguards may include encryption in transit, access controls based on least privilege, multi-factor authentication, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, and limiting access to personnel who need the information to perform their roles. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable authorities as required by law.
12. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will delete that information promptly.
13. Visitors Outside the United States
The Site is operated in the United States and intended for visitors in the United States. If you access the Site from another country, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
14. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on this page and, where required by law, provide additional notice or obtain consent. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy.
